Initiative of creating Jewish Community Center reaches year 2002 when successor of British throne , Prince Charles, decided to fund a place which enable to built Jewish community in Krakow. In result there was designed 4-storey building with area of 800 square meters situated at the Miodowa Street near the synagogue Temple. The architecture of center combine contemporary forms with respect for traditional canons. In clear way it reflects to krakow’s monuments and harmonically inscribes in it’s downtown. Today JCC is lively center of education, culture and main place of local community meetings. Created architectural space allows integration of all generations, families, citizens of Krakow and tourists. During opening ceremony Prince of Wells has beaten into doors an traditional Jewish mezuzah.
